It’s no surprise to any of you that I am obsessed with cheeseburgers. I’ve been on a quest for years to find the best burger in the world. So far I’ve only found the best in the Bay Area (self-proclaimed), but I am determined to travel the world eating cheeseburgers until I find the best one. If I could just get someone to fund my travels and cheeseburgers, that would be great. Can you recommend anyone?
While I’d love to have my own traveling, cheeseburger eating television show (seriously, could there be a more perfect job for me?), for now I will just keep eating the cheeseburgers in my area. And making Halloween costumes to match my infatuation.
While I’d love to claim originality with this costume, I cannot take the credit. I saw this costume on the blog Studio DIY. I would have re-created her costume exactly, had I wanted to spend that much on the outfit. But seeing as how I am going to be holed up in my house on Halloween, not even handing out candy to the adorable little witches and goblins (we get NO trick or treaters!), I didn’t want to spend more than $20 on a costume for work.

I found this dress at Forever21 for $12.90 (only in stores) – could that be any more affordable? I followed Kelly’s steps almost to a T (using brown felt instead of a belt), except I added onions to my burger. I mean, what’s a burger without onions? If you answered anything other than “crap,” we can’t be friends. I also created a headpiece to act as the stick that holds the burger together (see the first photo). I’m not entirely sold on wearing it, but it added a cute touch.
Sorry for the overflow of photos, but for once in my blogging life, my husband actually agreed to take photos of me, and I had to take advantage. It’s not every day that you get to have your own mini-photoshoot. And, if I do say so myself, he did an excellent job!
Now I’m off to eat as many juicy cheeseburgers as I can get my hands on. Or just one. I still have to fit into this dress on Friday. When I come trick-or-treating to your house on Saturday, please give me cheeseburgers instead of candy?
Best costume ever!
Thank you!!! 🙂

You’re too cute! Glad you liked it!! I want to wear it around the city whenever I go out for cheeseburgers from now on!
Hello! How did you make it? I love the costume!! You mentioned something about following Kelly’s directions on how Assemble it? I have a dress I could use. I assume you just glued it on a felt belt….wasn’t sure where you get those directions. If you could write me back that would be great:) thank you beth
Hi Beth! Here’s the link to Kelly’s costume: https://studiodiy.com/2015/09/21/diy-burger-costume/ – I just cut out the burger topping pieces out of felt and glued them onto a piece of brown felt that I used velcro to turn into a belt. Hopefully this helps?
