So my husband joined a men’s softball team. Yup. Every Tuesday night. While I know this is normal for a lot of men across America, I have to be a little honest. I was scared of the commitment. When he asked me if I thought he should play, I told him to do it. I just made sure he realized I wouldn’t be committing to coming every week. I’ve made just about the only sort of commitment I was ready for, which was marrying him. After that, I’m just not sure I have it in me. His team is on week four, and I haven’t made it to one game yet. Oops.
Before you go thinking about how mean I am, just know, I am clearly very busy. And by very busy, I mean: I have so many better things to do than sit on a bleacher and watch him make a fool of himself. Like watching Bachelor in Paradise, or washing my hair. Isn’t Extreme Weight Loss on tonight? Yeah. Thought so. I don’t think DVR works on those shows, so I guess I’ll have to stay home.
So in honor of missing week four, I made him a little treat to take to the park. This way, he knows how much I love him. Don’t worry, I’ll take clear-cut notes on Bachelor so he doesn’t miss anything. I mean, no one wants to miss Ashley crying. Again.

It might make for a good comedy show…you should go and get him on video…especially when he “wins” the game.

Haha this is true. Maybe I should bring my video camera.
Ashley says
Ha! Love: “I don’t think DVR works on those shows.” ? I think my tv is the same way. So strange.

Hahah right?! That and ANYTHING on E! or TLC.

Haha washing your hair like that episode of Saved by the Bell when Kelly’s excuse every time is that she has to wash her hair!

Oh my gosh totally! This is exactly what I was going for! 🙂

Aww, this is so sweet! Plus, it’s definitely the kind of move that I would make to make sure that I don’t miss my favourite shows #priorities 😉

Hahaha totally! Gotta prioritize! 🙂

Hahaha I definitely have the same commitment issues with after work activities… Or maybe I’m just committed to my tv shows…
shauna841505@yahoo.com says
Hahaha I like to say it’s the commitment to the activities we don’t want to give. We don’t like admitting we have to watch the shows. 😉

This is really cute! OMG Ashley cries over everything! Makes for good TV I guess haha

shauna841505@yahoo.com says
Haha right!?! I try to watch some of the shows I record before he even notices them on the DVR, so I don’t have to deal with the teasing! Hahaha.
Erin McElrath says
I would definitely love to see that on video! What a nice wife you are, Zack is lucky if he gets dinner. Ha ha.
shauna841505@yahoo.com says
