Any way you slice it, you’re pretty amazing to me. Every one of you. Except my hacker of course. You, I despise. But for the rest of you, I intend on treating you with the utmost respect, the way a lady (and gentleman) deserves to be treated. You know, because I’m a lady. So before I wine and dine you, I might just show up to your door with a little gift basket to prove my admiration, because who wants flowers anyway? I’d show up with a bottle of wine too, but that’s being a little presumptuous wouldn’t you say?
So in the off chance that you have someone you’d like to show a little appreciation for, you should make them this orange themed gift basket. It can never hurt to spread the love. And if you really want to express your support, add in a bottle of wine or two. Or maybe a bottle of Fireball. Hey, that’s orange too!
I’ve recently grown quite fond of Party City’s individually sold candy spot. It’s perfect for your color themed baskets, or if you just feel like indulging in a bunch of orange candy. Just don’t be exclusive. You should probably throw in a red or green piece so everyone feels included. We wouldn’t want anyone to be offended, now would we?
Once you’ve picked up all of your orange candy and basket fillers, grab an orange basket from the dollar store and fill it with orange tissue paper. Pack everything inside, add the label tag, and make yourself a little card if you want to go the extra mile (which you should do). Everyone likes to read a card detailing their amazing-ness. Trust me. If you want to send me one anytime, let me know. I’d never turn down a supportive vibe.
Personally, I think this gift basket is perfect for just about anyone. But I made mine for someone I work with who won a very important award. And not an award where everyone else got a participation ribbon either. A real-life, one person wins, award. So she clearly deserved my support. Can I get myself a participation ribbon for making this basket? Anyone?
If you know someone you’d like to make this orange basket for, here’s the file to print for the label/card. You can size it to fit whatever basket you choose. Here’s a file to the individual orange, if you’d like to add it to your orange candies!
