I’m always looking for a good Dollar Store craft. You should know this about me by now. If the project costs less than $5 it is right up my alley. Since I already have shelves, boxes, and drawers filled with crafting supplies, I better not need to buy the usuals: glue, scissors, markers, or the most important glitter. So my $5 can go directly to the meat of the project. In this case: candles.
I saw this project on The 36th Avenue, which is exactly where you should go to get a more detailed tutorial. They also did a bunch of other cute candles that make perfect Christmas gifts. How do I know, you may ask? What do you think I gave all of my co-workers and family friends last year? I’ll give you a hint: it’s a candle and it rhymes with no-man.
Mine turned out a little differently than the pretty ones at 36 Avenue, but I was pretty happy with them none-the-less. And so were all my gift receivers. I think they knew it was either this or a bucket of coal. They weren’t going to complain.
